What do you think for our first store template?

So we’re really excited about the progress we’ve been doing and wanted to share with you what we’ve been working on. Here are a few screenshots of the first store template, let us know what you think :)

Below is a screenshot of the design for the store’s homepage.

You have here an option to add a logo, show one big banner or 2 featured products, show 2 smaller banners and show a few more products.

You will also be able to choose your color scheme.

A buyer also has a few different options for sorting through your store products, we added for now sorting options by color, type, price, brand and of course category. Do you think we should include another sorting option?

Next, take a look at the design for the product page.

Here you can see all the item properties that you have for your product on eBay included in the page such as availability, type, brand, SKU etc.

Would you want an option to hide some of these properties?

Of course also scroll down menus are included for the product’s variants. And, you have a split description area for your eBay listing description and shipping info.

We’re really looking forward to your feedback, so please let us know what you think :)

Right now we have it set to take the 2 “Best Match” products from ebay, but we are looking for other ways to choose these products that are not dependent on eBay. Any suggestions?

Will there be an option to make choices in sort tabs? Depending on what the person is selling, if they seek a lot of one of a kind items, “bestsellers” doest necessarily apply

on June 28, 2015

Right now we’re not sure yet what options to offer for the tabs, best selling, price high to low and low to high, are a few options we considered, but we will definitely be happy to hear suggestions for other tab sorting options.

Hi Carly

Your first template looks very clean and elegant. Very impressed
Some additional things to think about.

  • Some sort of review system so that customers can voice their opinions
  • A way to contact the seller
  • A BUY NOW button
  • Slideshow feature, that filters through the pictures

Thank you for your feedback!

We will definitely look into adding a review system, maybe even product rich snippets, so that the products are showing with the ratings in search results.

There will be a contact page, but do you mean an option from the homepage to contact the seller?

Also, we’re not sure if it’s too cluttered to have two buttons, also “Add to cart” and “Buy Now”, maybe to replace the “Add to cart” with “Buy Now”?

We will look also into embedding a slider, that could be a nice touch too.

Hi Carly, I am very excited and can’t wait! Looks great! A question I have is that I have a template that I paste code into the description area of E Bay to dress up my E Bay listings. Will this be a problem with syncing with your website? I mostly sell items at bargain close out prices so for me a great selling point and suggestion would be to have a List Price, Our Price, Sale Price, Savings Amount. I think is a huge plus and key to selling my items. I really like my current website with Volusion and how they do this. To see an example my website is: http://www.horsinaroundsaddlery.com/ Also will there be category tabs and sub categories? I sell different types of items like saddles, horse tack, riding apparel, horse care items, and gifts so being able to categorize them with sub categories for the different styles of riding or woman’s, men’s ect. would be great! Again my website I have shows great examples of this. Just a thought!

Thank you so much for your support!

We do import also your listing descriptions along with your listings, but since the listing templates might not work with the general template and since it’s not good for SEO to have the same texts we do recommend changing the description from the one you have on eBay.

You made some good points here regarding what we can still add such as markdown prices, we haven’t yet included markdown prices as an option, but we are planing on in the future.

We do support sub-categories, also there are many other ways buyers can sort through such as by brand, size and color.

Is there any item specific that you use on eBay that you would like to give buyer an option to sort by in your store?
